Red Ribbon Week

This week is Red Ribbon Week which celebrates and promotes a drug free life and the Wabeno High School and Elementary School participated in several events throughout the week.

Grades 7-12 had the opportunity to listen to the Forest County Sheriff’s Department which informed us about some of the drugs that are found around our area. They also told us about all of the effects those drugs could have on us and our lives. They even had a drug dog and showed us how he does his job to help his officer partner.

Grades 5-8 were able to participate in a presentation from Mike McGowan who promotes drug free life through using different examples. This presentation was set up by the Middle School Leadership team.

Remember to always remain drug free! Our lives are worth more than any drug.
