The Wabeno-Laona Rebels started softball practice this week in Laona’s gym.
When practicing inside, they start off each practice they run 5 laps in the hallways at Laona and then stretch as a group. They do more stretches across the gym including lunges, walking planks, and sprints. Then they warm-up their arms and work on fielding or start hitting rotations. They practice bunting and hitting in the batting cage. They have other stations that help us focus on bat-ball contact.
When practicing outside, they run around the field, do stretches and sprints. They warm up their arms and start hitting rotations or work on fielding.
